OVERVIEW: The AN/SSQ-41B Jezebel LOFAR (LOw Frequency Analysis and Ranging) is an "A-size" omnidirectional sonobuoy.
DETAILS: The AN/SSQ-41B uses a line hydrophone operating between 10 Hz-20kHz at a depth of 20 or 300 meters and a lifetime of up to 8 hours.
NOTES: IOC in 1963. Can be launched from an aircraft traveling at up to 370 knots and up to 9,000 meters.
