OVERVIEW: The GBU-15(V)2/B CWW (Cruciform Wing Weapon) is a unpowered glide bomb.


DETAILS: The basic GBU-15 configuration consists of a bolt-on guidance/fin section and a cruciform wing group and data link attached to a Mk 84 bomb. The GBU-15(V)2/B guidance section uses a IIR sensor for guidance, giving it a limited night/all-weather capability. The weapon can be launched at low altitude.


NOTES: IOC 1983. The GBU-15(V)2/B does not require target acquisition before release.
