OVERVIEW: The AR-325 Commander is a transportable, long range, 3-D air defense radar operating in the E/F Band.
DETAILS: The AR-325 uses a planar-array antenna with frequency steered pencil beam groups to electronically scan in elevation. The system is highly automated. ECCM
capabilities include frequency agility, jammer frequency analysis, jam-strobe reports and silent sector operations, ultra low sidelobes and Constant False Alarm Rate (CFAR). Remote monitoring is possible.
Specifications:
Frequency: 2.7-3.1 GHz (E/F Band (NATO), S Band (IEEE))
Power output: 7.5 kW(average); 134 kW (peak)
PRF: variable
Range Accuracy: 18 m (range), 0.16 degrees azimuth (est)
On/Off time: unknown
Deploy/Stow Time 240 minutes/ minutes
Detection Range (1m2 target): 470 km
NOTES: IOC 1989. The system is aircraft, truck and helo transportable. The AR-325 is based on the Plessey AR-3D and AR-320, but has less ECCM capability, as it was designed for export to the non-NATO market. It features increased mobility over the AR-320, by reducing the radar size and the number of shelters from three to one.
