OVERVIEW: The TRS 2230, is a stationary, long range air identification and surveillance 3D radar.

NOTES: An order for the system was placed in 1988 and the units were delivered in 1993-95. Full operational readiness was achieved in 1998. An MLU program was ordered in 2009 and the system is expected to be operational into the 2020-ies. The Finnish designation is KAVA (Kaukovalvontatutka)
