OVERVIEW: The ASR-9 is an advanced Airfield Surveillance Radar.

DETAILS: The Northrop Grumman ASR-9 is an Airfield Surveillance Radar. It was the first airport surveillance radar to display weather and aircraft simultaneously.

NOTES: The first installation began in 1989 and was completed in the US in 1995. Poland , India, Tunisia, Panama, Belgium, Taiwan, Morocco, and Argentina also used the ASR-9 radar.
